A Share Savings account is the foundation of your membership.
What your Share Savings account and membership
have in common: Not only is this the best place for your hard-earned money, but
by making your initial $5.00 deposit into this account, you'll have access to
all the benefits of GECU membership. The $5.00 represents your share in
GECU; you are a shareholder. All members have equal access to our products and services and, as a
member, your immediate family members (i.e., mother, father, brother, sister,
spouse, and children) are eligible to take advantage of these benefits too.
As a member, you're entitled to run for a position on our volunteer Board of Directors and vote for your credit union's leadership once a year. You'll remain a member of
GECU as long as you maintain $5.00 in your Share Savings account.
Saving money with your GECU Share Savings account will make saving your money easier. Plus, your
Share Savings account is federally insured to
at least $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration. You have 24/7 access to your account through: our FREE Online Banking; our FREE touch-tone teller, the Sourceline; and your ATM
Card and/or Debit Card.
