Convenience is key at GECU. And, to help you save, we want you to pay yourself first with payroll deduction or direct deposit!
Payroll deduction, if available from your employer, lets you have part of your paycheck automatically deposited into any of your GECU accounts. The process is simple. You pick the amount and set it up with your employer. With payroll deduction you can divide your paycheck any way you like,
including sending some to your: share savings, checking, money market, or club account. All you will need is GECU’s routing number (242076821) and your 12-digit member number.*
Direct deposit, if available from your employer, allows you to automatically deposit your entire check, or the balance of your check after any payroll deductions have been made, into any of your GECU accounts. This process is easy and will save you time on payday. And, with direct deposit, you can have your Social Security payments and your tax returns deposited into your account automatically. Just simply have GECU’s routing number (242076821) and your 12-digit member number.*
*Your 12-digit account number is the Share ID + your member number with added
zeros in between to equal 12-digits (The Share ID for GECU FREE Checking/Share
Draft = 100, for GECU Premium FREE Checking/Share Draft = 130, for GECU Money
Market = 120, for GECU Christmas Club = 600, for GECU Vacation Club = 500, and the Share ID
for GECU Savings/Share = 000). For example, to determine your 12-digit Checking
account number: if your member number is 43210, your 12-digit account number
would be your Share ID + your member number to get "100000043210." Please
remember to add zeros (underlined in example) after the Share ID and before your member number to make
it 12-digits.
